Don’t stop — your dream is waiting for you.
After the impact of COVID-19, Aung Kyaw Moe was no longer able to continue his formal education. Even though life became difficult, he refused to give up. In 2022, he decided to join the Vocational Education Training (VET) program to learn a practical skill that could support his future. He had a dream to work professionally in the Food & Beverage field, especially as a barista, so he chose this new path with hope and determination.
During his 10-month training, he studied Food & Beverage and Bakery skills. He learned Myanmar, Thai, and Western dishes, as well as coffee, tea, Italian soda, cocktails, and mocktails. In the bakery section, he trained in making birthday cakes, cookies, breads, and many other pastries. Besides technical skills, he also improved his language abilities and general knowledge. The journey was not always easy, but his hard work and commitment helped him grow stronger each day.
After completing the training, Aung Kyaw Moe started working at Happy Cafe, rotating between roles as a chef, barista, and baker. He applied everything he learned from the VET program, and even though there were small challenges at the beginning, he quickly adapted and performed successfully in every position. His confidence grew as he practiced his skills in real working environments.
Today, Aung Kyaw Moe is moving forward with clear goals for his future. He plans to continue working in coffee shops or restaurants, using the skills he has trained for. His journey shows that even when education paths close, new opportunities can still open — and with effort, passion, and the right support, anyone can build a better future.
