Joined Rays of Youth in 2022

“It is never too late to start something.”

For Hay Shay, these words became the driving force behind his journey of growth and self-discovery. Growing up in a migrant community, he attended the Parami learning center and, in 2022, took the crucial step of joining the Rays of Youth Vocational Education Training Program. There, he focused on Food & Beverage, alongside gaining practical experience in entrepreneurship and digital marketing. This diverse training gave him a solid foundation as he prepared to enter the workforce.

After completing the program, Hay Shay landed a job as a chef at Queen Palace Hotel, where he now applies the culinary skills he mastered. His commitment to learning and improving his craft has not only raised the quality of the food and service he provides but has also highlighted the importance of this sector for his personal growth and future.

Hay Shay chose to build his future with the knowledge he gained from the vocational training program. He believes that opportunities like these can pave the way for a bright career, urging other youth to take similar steps.
