Ms. Ja Seng Mei is a shining example of how vocational training can transform lives. A graduate of the Vocational Education Training Batch 2 in Food & Beverage at Rays of Youth in 2022, she made a courageous leap from traditional higher education to vocational training, driven by financial constraints. Embracing this change, she developed essential skills in hospitality, hygiene and safety, cooking, baking, beverage preparation, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship, all while overcoming language barriers.

Her internship at Happy Cafe provided invaluable hands-on experience in restaurant management, teaching her crucial lessons about accountability and responsibility. Today, she excels as a Commis 2 Pastry expert at The Teak Hotel, where she crafts exquisite salads, cakes, sauces, tapas, bread, and cookies. Ja Seng Mei's creations not only bring her joy but also enhance the reputation of The Teak, a celebrated establishment in Mae Sot.

Ja Seng Mei’s journey illustrates the transformative power of vocational education. With immense gratitude, she advocates for the expansion of vocational programs, recognizing their profound impact on shaping the futures of youth.
