“Do everything you love”

Mar Tay Oo is one of the migrant youth in Mae Sot. Before joining the vocational program, he worked as a daily-paid construction worker to support his family. After a few years, he wanted to become a skilled worker. He was also passionate about the Food & Beverage field, so in 2024 he decided to join the vocational training program.

When he first joined, he was shy to communicate with friends and didn’t have much confidence in himself. But through the life skills lessons, he slowly overcame his weaknesses. He loved working as a barista, but he worried about not being able to make different latte art shapes. Through practice and effort, he can now make beautiful latte art.

One of his biggest challenges during training was transportation. He lived very far from the center and only had a bicycle. Even on rainy days, he still pushed himself to go because he wanted to build his barista skills and become a skilled worker with a good salary. His determination helped him overcome every difficulty.

Today, Mar Tay Oo is working as a barista at Happy Café. Sometimes he also supports the kitchen and helps with stock checks. He has now become a skilled barista, and his dream is to one day start his own business using the skills and experience he has gained. He encourages himself with his life motto: “Do Everything in Love.”
