“I will always try my best”
For Bhone Pyae. She is a migrant youth currently studying at a migrant learning center. His mother earns his family income by doing sewing work at home. He always wanted to help her, but he didn’t have enough technical or sewing skills, so he wasn’t able to support his mother properly.
However, he became interested in the sewing short course at Rays of Youth and decided to join. In the training, he learned sewing, handicrafts, eco-printing, and also how to produce items by ourselves. He also learned teamwork and collaboration.
After attending the course, he has improved a lot. He used to have no experience in sewing or handicrafts, but now he can help his mother not only with sewing but also with producing Karen traditional textiles and handmade products. He has gained confidence and can now support his mother more effectively.
In the future, he will continue developing his sewing and handicraft skills so he can contribute to his family’s income in a meaningful way. He is very grateful to Rays of Youth and the donors for providing this vocational training that helps young people like him and gain useful skills and support families. This course is truly beneficial for migrant youth.
He also want to encourage other young people to pursue what they are genuinely passionate about and take action to make it real.
