Saw Pi Ngae's journey began at the CDC Migrant Learning Center, where he cultivated a passion for leadership and community education. In 2014, he took a significant step by joining the Rays of Youth Leadership Program, motivated by his desire to empower others and make a difference in his community.

Before joining ROY, Saw Pi Ngae had limited leadership experience, mainly serving as a monitor at school. However, his time in the program opened up new avenues for growth. Through practical training in topics such as health, technology, culture, and leadership, he gained valuable insights into migration issues and learned effective strategies to support fellow migrants.

The impact of the program was profound, boosting his confidence and self-belief. Saw Pi Ngae's newfound skills transformed him into a competent leader who could teach and inspire others. Today, he works as an Emotional Resilience Project Officer with Play On Side, where he utilizes the knowledge and skills he acquired at ROY to foster a supportive environment for youth.

Reflecting on his journey, he advises young people: "Don’t blame others or be judgmental. Take responsibility for yourself." His heartfelt gratitude towards ROY is evident, as he acknowledges that the teachings he received significantly shaped his contributions to community education.

Saw Pi Ngae dreams of creating more educational and livelihood opportunities for youth, nurturing the next generation of outstanding leaders. His story is a powerful reminder of how one person's commitment to positive change can ripple through a community.
