“Life Goes On”

Eh Paw Kalay, a participant of the Rays of Youth Peer Youth Leadership Program (Batch 5), grew up with a strong determination to improve herself and contribute to the community around her. While studying at Parami Learning Center, she heard about the Rays of Youth Leadership Course and applied with the intention of strengthening her leadership skills, gaining essential knowledge, and fostering a better environment for the people she lives with.

Through the program, she explored a range of important topics, including leadership, human rights, children’s rights, gender, and protection. These lessons helped her understand her own rights, recognize the importance of respecting others, and identify ways to prevent violence in her daily interactions. She also shared the knowledge she gained with those around her, contributing to a safer and more informed community.

Today, Eh Paw Kalay works as a Child Friendly Space Project Assistant under Help Without Frontiers Foundation Thailand. In this role, she applies her leadership and communication skills to support children in the Shwe Pyay area, helping them develop socially and emotionally in a safe and nurturing environment. Her work reflects her commitment to supporting young learners and contributing meaningfully to her community.

Looking ahead, she hopes to continue her education at the university level and further engage in social development work. She expresses her appreciation to the Rays of Youth Project for equipping her with valuable knowledge and opportunities that continue to guide her path.

Her message to other young people is clear: never stop learning, no matter what challenges you face, because life continues and growth continues with every new opportunity you embrace.
