"Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. Every mistake holds valuable lessons. Learn from your mistakes."

For Naw Mue Lweh Phaw, these words became a powerful guiding principle in her journey to empowerment. Growing up in a vibrant yet challenging environment, she attended the Parami Migrant Learning Center, where she first heard about the Rays of Youth project by Help Without Frontiers. Eager to build her leadership skills and make a difference, she joined the Peer Youth Leadership Group-1, participating from May 1st, 2011, to June 30th, 2013.

During her time in the program, Naw Mue Lweh Phaw dove into social issues, gaining invaluable life skills and knowledge that extended far beyond the classroom. The training provided her with essential tools to navigate real-world challenges, instilling in her a sense of responsibility and a proactive mindset. These skills not only transformed her own life but also allowed her to positively impact her community.

Today, as a Project Assistant at Rights Beyond Border, Naw Mue Lweh Phaw channels the lessons she learned from the Rays of Youth program into her work. She actively shares her insights with others, fostering empowerment and encouraging positive change in her community. Her commitment to personal growth and community development is unwavering.

Naw Mue Lweh Phaw’s motto is simple yet profound: "Staying positive can turn negative things into positive outcomes." Her message to young people is “clear: embrace opportunities for growth, learn from your mistakes, and uplift others along the way.” She is deeply grateful to Rays of Youth for helping unlock her potential and guiding her toward a path of empowerment.
