Joined Rays of Youth in 2023

"Because nothing is impossible, we should spend the rest of our lives combining perseverance and effort." 

This mantra became a guiding light for Naw Hser Wah. After completing Grade 12 at CDC migrant learning center, she faced daunting challenges in continuing her education due to a lack of legal documentation and language barriers. In 2023, she enrolled in the Media and Creative Course at Rays of Youth's Vocational Education Training (VET) program, seizing a valuable opportunity to build a future in a field she loved.

Throughout the course, Naw Hser Wah immersed herself in various media skills, including smartphone filming, photography, photo and video editing, graphic design, and digital marketing. She not only honed her technical abilities but also improved her Thai language skills, gaining confidence along the way. This experience empowered her to transition from uncertainty to clarity regarding her career path.

Today, Naw Hser Wah is thriving as a Project Assistant at Rays of Youth while successfully running her own small media business. The education she received has greatly enhanced her hard and soft skills, equipping her for future challenges. Her message to fellow youth is simple yet powerful: “Recognize and cultivate your talents, and aim for excellence.”

Reflecting on her journey, Naw Hser Wah expresses heartfelt gratitude to Rays of Youth for opening doors and providing invaluable opportunities. She firmly believes that with perseverance, many more outstanding young people will emerge from future generations, ready to make their mark.
