Thin War War Kyaw

Peer Youth Leadership Batch - 6

Joined Rays of Youth in 2021

“Be Improved Yourself Wherever You Are”

Thin War War Kyaw grew up in Mae Sot as a migrant student, where she faced language barriers, social anxiety, and limited access to essential knowledge such as SRHR, human trafficking, and online safety. While studying at a Migrant Learning Center, he often struggled to communicate confidently and navigate important youth-related information.

Her turning point came in 2021 when he joined Batch-6 of the Rays of Youth Leadership Program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this experience, she expanded her understanding of key youth issues, strengthened her communication and leadership skills, and built a supportive network that guided both his personal development and future goals. The program became more than training, it opened a pathway to growth, confidence, and new opportunities.

Since completing the course, Thin War War Kyaw has continued to serve the community as a youth leader. She is currently a Youth Board Committee Member of Help Without Frontiers Foundation Thailand and President of the ROY Youth Network Group. In these roles, she guides junior youths, organizes activities and events, learns how systems operate, and represents migrant youth in advocacy spaces. Her peers, teachers, and community members recognize his development and trust her for advice, support, and information.

Looking forward, Thin War War Kyaw hopes to create more opportunities for young people, help them build confidence, and contribute to their happiness and well-being. She expresses sincere gratitude to the Rays of Youth Project Thailand for shaping her leadership journey and giving her the chance to uplift others.

Her message to other young people: “Keep going and keep learning. Even a small opportunity can help you grow and when you grow, you uplift others too.”
