I am Wai Paign Oo. Growing up, I faced many challenges that forced me to leave my home and move to Thailand in search of work. Due to family difficulties, I had to take on any job I could find to support myself and my loved ones. However, I quickly realized that without proper skills and training, achieving a stable and fulfilling career would be much harder.

             That’s when I discovered the Rays of Youth Vocational Education Training (ROY VET) Program and enrolled in the Food and Beverage Training course. This opportunity gave me the chance to learn valuable skills and gain hands-on experience in the industry.

              The journey was not easy—I faced many obstacles, moments of self-doubt, and uncertainty about my future. But with the unwavering support of my trainers, mentors, and friends, I stayed committed to my goals. Their encouragement and guidance helped me push through challenges, and I successfully completed the program.

                Today, I am proud to work as a Chef Assistant at Chimney Restaurant. This job has not only given me financial stability but has also allowed me to support my family and build a future I once thought was out of reach. The skills I gained through the ROY VET Program have empowered me to stand on my own feet and create new opportunities for myself.

                 To all young people who are struggling, I want to say this: if you get the chance to learn new skills, take it! With determination, hard work, and the right support, you can build a better future for yourself. No matter how difficult the journey may seem, keep going—your efforts will lead you to success.
